This Privacy Policy describes how PsychNPFellowship.com ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the PMHNP Review application (the "App"), accessible at pmhnpreview.org. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account or sign in with Google, we collect your name, email address, and profile photo (if provided by Google). This information is used solely to identify you within the App and enable features like cross-device progress syncing.

Study Progress Data: The App records your study activity, including questions answered, scores, bookmarked questions, and exam history. This data is stored to provide you with progress tracking, performance analytics, and personalized study recommendations.

Device and Usage Information: We may automatically collect basic technical information such as browser type, device type, and general usage patterns. This helps us maintain and improve the App's performance and compatibility.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide and maintain core App functionality, including progress tracking, exam simulations, and cross-device syncing. We also use it to improve the App's features, content quality, and user experience. We may send you important service-related communications, such as updates or security notices. We may also use your information to analyze aggregate usage patterns to guide development priorities. We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers or for anyone else’s marketing. We do share a limited, hashed signal with Meta so we can measure which of our own advertisements lead to signups — see “Third-Party Services” below.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted cloud database platform that provides encryption in transit and at rest. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including secure HTTPS connections for all data transmission, row-level security policies on our database, secure authentication through Supabase Auth and Google OAuth, and regular security reviews of our infrastructure. While no system can guarantee absolute security, we take reasonable precautions to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

Third-Party Services

The App integrates with the following third-party services:

Supabase: Provides authentication, database, and hosting services. Your account information and study data are stored on Supabase's infrastructure. Supabase Privacy Policy

Google Sign-In: If you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares your basic profile information (name, email, profile photo) with us. We do not access your Google contacts, calendar, or any other Google data. Google Privacy Policy

Meta (Facebook/Instagram): We advertise the App on Meta platforms. So that we can tell which advertisement led someone to sign up, we send Meta a cryptographically hashed version of your email address — an irreversible code, not the address itself — together with limited technical details such as IP address and device type that Meta uses only for matching. We never send Meta your name, your quiz scores, or your study progress, and we do not allow Meta to use this data for anyone else’s advertising. You can limit this at any time via your Meta ad preferences, your device settings, or by emailing us — it will not affect your access to the App. On Apple devices we honor your App Tracking Transparency choice. Apart from the advertising measurement described above, we do not use advertising trackers or analytics platforms that collect personal data, and we do not share your information for anyone else’s targeted advertising.

Your Rights and Choices

You can access your study data at any time through the App's progress dashboard. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the email below. You can sign out at any time to stop data syncing. You can use the App without creating an account, though some features (like cross-device sync) will not be available. If you signed in with Google, you can revoke the App's access through your Google Account settings at any time.

Cookies and Local Storage

The App uses browser local storage to save your study progress locally on your device. This ensures your data is available even when offline. If you are signed in, this local data syncs with your cloud account. In the installed iOS and Android apps, cookies are strictly functional and necessary for authentication and operation — no advertising pixel runs there. On our website, including the browser version of the app at pmhnpreview.org/app, we also use the Meta advertising pixel to measure how well our own advertising performs. You can opt out through your browser settings or your Meta ad preferences at any time; doing so will not affect your access to the app.

Children's Privacy

The App is designed for adult nursing professionals and nurse practitioner students. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
